An absentee bid is the maximum hammer price that the auctioneer acting as your representative can bid up to on your behalf. The auctioneer will purchase the work on your behalf for the lowest bid amount possible. Colville Auctions undertakes to execute absentee bids for the lowest bid possible. We do not start the bidding at your absentee bid unless there is another bid immediately below yours. The maximum bid does not include buyer’s premium or GST (where applicable). Bids are made in Australian dollars.

By completing this form, absentee bidders request and authorise Colville Auctions to place the following bids acting as agent on their behalf up to and including the maximum bid specified, and confirm understanding the General Conditions of Business and agree to be bound by them. Where the bid is successful, the buyer will be obliged to pay the final bid price plus buyer's premium of 20% (plus of GST) of the final bid price. If identical bids are received for the same lot the bid received first will take precedence. Where identical bids are received for the same lot the bidder may elect one further bid increment, by donating +1 in the maximum bid amount.

Absentee bids are to be received twenty four hours prior to the commencement of live auctions. All absentee bids received online will be confirmed by email. Registration of Absentee Bids with Colville Auctions, require photo identification, if not previously supplied.
