How To Sell

At Colville Auctions we provide the opportunity for the buying and selling of art, highlighting significant cultural art from many periods, with particular emphasis on Australian and Tasmanian artists and artworks.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell fine art or objects of virtue, Colville can help you.

Our knowledgeable staff can guide both buyers and sellers through the simple steps to ensure ownership of a desired object or a successful sale.

REQUEST AN ESTIMATE

Wondering how much your fine art or objects of virtue might yield at a Colville auction?

Your first step is securing a preliminary auction estimate at no charge.

Complimentary estimates will be provided for each item that meets our minimum consignment parameters.

Our specialists will provide the most accurate estimate based upon your submitted information, but estimates are subject to change based on the specialist’s first-hand inspection.

Getting Started Is Easy

Simply follow the link to our Auction Appraisal Form

- Share background information. Include dimensions, history of ownership and any
documentation (previous valuations, certificates or receipts.)

- Share your images. Please provide at least two clear colour photographs of your item. Include front and back views, any signatures, maker’s marks or areas of damage.

- Submit your request online. We will reply in the coming weeks.

Alternatively email one of our offices with details of the item, along with a photograph of your property.

If you decide to offer your property at auction, we will draw up a seller’s contract for you, which includes the reserve price, as well as details about Colville Auctions.

If your property is not appropriate for sale at auction, we will recommend the auction and selling location where your
property is likely to achieve the highest price.
