Daughter of Dr James P Teague and sister Violet Helen Evangeline Teague (1872 – 1951) who attended National Gallery School 1897-1900, studying with Bernard Hall and Melbourne School of Art under E Phillips Fox. The family travelled to Europe late 1890’s – 1901visiting galleries in Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, England and Spain.
In 1933 Violet and Una travelled across the outback by car to visit Hermansberg Mission, run by minister Frederick Albrecht. The Mission had suffered severe drought resulting in high infant mortality. The sisters helped raise more than 2,000 pounds towards a pipeline to help transport water to the mission.
